Lindy Lou Ladies Vintage Boatneck Tee
Set sail in effortless style with the Lindy Lou Ladies Vintage Boatneck Tee—a soft, lightweight tan shirt featuring our beloved Lindy Lou river launch printed in rich burgundy ink. This vintage-inspired cut offers a flattering boat neckline, wide sleeves, and a loose, boxy flow designed for comfort, movement, and an easy, everyday maritime look. Perfect for warm summer days, river cruises, or as a meaningful keepsake celebrating South Haven’s Black River heritage.
The Lindy Lou is a replica of a Truscott fantail river launch, modeled after the elegant electric-powered pleasure boats that glided along lakes and rivers at the turn of the 20th century. Built on a mold taken from an original Truscott launch and beautifully finished on-site by Museum staff and volunteers, she has been cruising the Black River since her christening in 2011. Today, the Lindy Lou continues the tradition of leisurely river excursions, offering passengers a glimpse of South Haven from city to countryside—just as launches did during the resort era of the 1890s–1930s.
Color: Tan with Burgundy Ink
Fit: Ladies vintage cut — wide sleeves, relaxed boxy shape, elegant boat neckline
Material: Soft cotton/poly blend for breathable all-day comfort
Care: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
Profits from the sale of this item directly support the preservation, operations, and educational programming surrounding the Museum’s historic fleet—including the Lindy Lou.
